A friend gave me this for my birthday and I’m surprised that it suits so well, I feel kind of sexy wearing it. Usually I’m more Clinique’s Happy, Kenzo’s Flower kind of girl.
@inflamedbullet And skincare-wise, I always use daily sunscreen (La Roche-Posay Anthelios 60) and heavier moisturizers at night. Currently rotating between Fresh Elixir Ancien oil, Annick Goutal Masque Splendide, Aftelier Perfumes Rose, Sandalwood & Frankincense Face Elixir.
Thank you! Honestly, I’m lucky because my Mom and Dad gifted me with their lovely complexions. But I do take care of their “gift”. Here’s what I use: Trish McEvoy Beauty Booster Serum & Beauty Booster Cream, Chanel Lift Lumière foundation, Christian Dior Diorskin Sculpt concealer (eyes), Bobbi Brown Stick Foundation (used as needed for extra coverage on face), Christian Dior Diorskin Forever Compact powder foundation
You have such beautiful skin! What’s your secret? What’s your skincare routine like? What are your base makeup routine products? Your skin is just gorgeous!
i smelt this on my latest shopping trip and was amazed that i loved it so much.
i’ve never bought perfume fro YSL but this one really amazed me. its smells disfferent to what i normally where and got lots of complements. a little really goes a long way and intend to buy it.
im 19 i think it is a more younger scent in comparison to their other perfumes.
i too love miss dior cherie but much prefer Yves Saint Laurent Belle D’Opium.
@KatiePuckrikSmells you are so right , you are giving the young people a scent education!! I really agree with you that it is a transition from teeny to adulthood! Honestly I dont regret purchasing this fragrance on me the hookah smell comes out in the dry down and its so wonderful!!! I would recommend this fragrance to 25 to 40 years old, it is light but like you said in earlier reviews , you like when people lean in to smell you in your world! kisses
@jellybeanrock Thanks for the helpful feedback on this! I’m always interested to hear what perfumes people already have in their collection, and which new ones they’re drawn to. It also assists others trying to figure out if it’s something that might work for them.
I did feel that the fruitiness in Belle D’Opium would “make sense” to younger noses (rather than the spice brick of Opium, for instance), and that’s why I urge teenagers to check this one out if they like oriental perfumes.
I really love Belle d’opium, and bought it today!! I am 32 years old and I can’t imagine a teenager wearing this. It has excellent lasting power on me, although many say it doesn’t last. I wear fragrances like Coco mademoiselle, narciso rodriguez for her, kenzo flower. This one really fits well with what I love!! Happy I picked it up!
@Icemissa A friend of mine adores Emporio Armani She, and not that these are necessarily similar, but she’s also discovered that she likes Kenzo Flower (check out the new Flower Cologne – slightly lighter) and Calvin Klein Beauty. They might appeal to you, too.
@KatiePuckrikSmells Thank you! Will be searching now and doing that. Am also getting this Belle d’opium. Also, can you do a review on Emporio Armani She for women edp please? Or do you know any perfumes similar? Thank you love your reviews! x
@Icemissa I remember smelling Palazzo when it was out and being intrigued by it, but I don’t have a memory of the scent in order to give you any suggestions for a smell-alike. But it seems to still be available online at those discount sites – you should stock up!
@Icemissa Sorry i read your page after asking this! Have you ever smelled Palazzo by Fendi? Is there a dupe? Because they discontinued it when i found it
@ILuvCock1979 I have! I have!
Katie, have you tried #1000 by Jean Patou ? If not you MUST ! Thanks….
@Pochacco1971 You Belle Dope as being pandering, and yet many find it challenging. Agreed that Opium edt is a classic!
Original Opium is a true classic – beautiful , this horrid version is perfume by numbers for the masses and not in a good way
@Milovatsi That’s great to hear it’s a fit! It’s always a bit of a gamble giving someone perfume as a present. Happy belated birthday!

@MissSunnyful That sealed the deal, huh?
